This movement builds strength in the quadriceps, hamstrings, buttocks, abdominals, shoulders, arms and wrists. It gently increases flexibility in the calves, wrists and shoulders. Practising balance movements regularly increases one's sense of balance, strengthens the core stability muscles and calms the mind.
Do not practise this movement if you have a serious wrist, elbow or shoulder injury. Keep your hand on you hips if you suffer from High Blood Pressure.
